NOTES:
This is a beta version, I recently re-visited bathurst (from Japan - quite a haul) and this time took along my Nikon D40 camera. I was fortunate enough to be allowed to enter the airport premises - many thanks to Chris the airport groundsman. I will be integrating these many RAW images into the next release along with some new and re-made buildings. Additionally I have asked the local very active aeroclub if they could send me some aerial shots to be used as custom terrain textures to add to the realism.
Bathurst airport has the makings of an aero museum in that currently there are two mint condition Tiger Moths, 2 Russian MIG 15's and a restored De Havilland Drover.

Bathurst history and information.
I made this airport because my son is attending one of the many private schools in Bathurst which necessitated my having to visit the town many time (from Japan).
Gradually I realised that bathurst (YBTH) is the central hub for New South Wales Central West - towns liek Orange, Dubbo, Young etc. generally stage their flights through Bathurst. YBTH hasa single main runway of
Bathurst (population 37,000) was founded in 1815 and is Australia's oldest inland city, it hosts the world famous Mt. Panorama motor races several times a year. It is approximately 200 kms West of Sydney and sits on the tablelands on the western side of the Blue Mountains. The first road to bathurst through the mountains was constructed by English and Irish convicts many of whom died in the making of the road. the local aboriginal tribe is the Wiradjuri.
CREDITS:
I have included a static De Havilland Drover in this 1.8 Beta release courtesy of X-Plane.org's donnalbaugh. The animated flags plugin is the creation of Sandy barbour and Mr. 3D
A nice instrument flight to try is YSSY (Sydney) to YKAT (Katoomba) to YBTH (Bathurst).
Sydney is about 21' above sea level . . Bathurst is around 2,500' above sea level.
Have fun.
